Spring Festival of Curiosity Thank You
We would like to thank everyone for such a team effort in making this year’s Spring Festival of Curiosity such a success!  Thank you to the students who attended and asked such great questions!  Thank you to the CEMS staff and CEHS students and teachers who ran such informative and important stations! And a huge thank you to the community leaders who supported our festival and volunteered their time! Last, but certainly not least, a sincere thank you to all the parent volunteers: Jess & David Butzel,  Mary Casey, Liana Ericsson, Michele Frost, Shelly Haffenreffer,  Laurel Hannan, Kate Williams-Hewitt, Joe Jacobson, Cory Kuhl, Sam Lowe, Chris McCarthy, Oriel Offit, and Gwynne Rivers.  You all were so helpful in making this event happen from set-up to clean-up. You all helped in your own way to make it extraordinarily memorable.

Hannaford Grocery Card Update
The Hannaford Grocery Card program raises money in support of outdoor experiential learning throughout Middle School, including the amazing Chewonki week long overnight adventure.  This school year, participating families raised $7500 without spending a penny!  This is an amazing achievement worthy of hearty thanks to all our participating families in Pond Cove and the Middle School.  Bravo!  Look for information in September to become a part of this wildly successful, ongoing and painless fundraising effort.

CLYNK Update:
HELP WANTED! For the CLYNK fundraiser to continue, volunteers are needed to fill 2 open positions on the CLYNK team. This fundraiser helps classes K-6 raise tuition money for their 6th grade class trip to Chewonki.  This year's 6th grade class of 142 students raised almost $16,000 to reduce tuition by $110 per student! $6,115 of that total was raised through CLYNK bottle returns! Money raised in the 7th and 8th grades supports other exciting outdoor education programs.  Help is needed to maintain and track CLYNK accounts (using Excel Spreadsheets), write newsletter blurbs and school announcements and fold, label and distribute CLYNK bags to classrooms in the MS and to lobbies of both MS and PC.  For more details or to volunteer please contact Sarah Bischoff at This email address is being protected from spambots.
