Mrs. Caruso, Mr. Doane, and Mr. Chase's 6th-grade science classes have begun a six-session unit via Zoom with the Portland Water District to learn about clean waterways and how humans impact water on Earth. Over the course of these lessons, students will build on previous units on weathering and erosion, the water cycle, and watersheds to learn how to keep our waterways healthy and how landscaping can help protect local waterways.

If you would like to learn more about PWD's program, these links provide additional information about the unit and about resources PWD has made available to kids, families, and schools.
