Members of the Special Olympic team travelled to UMaine Orono on June 9-10 to participate in the Special Olympics State Summer Games. They all competed and earned medals in the shot put and the standing long jump. Due to thunderstorms in the area, the Special Olympics had to scratch the 100meter run that was at the end of the day. The athletes were disappointed but the true athletes that they are they said, "Just wait until next year, we will be ready."
