Last Thursday Cape Robotics hosted one of its activities of which we are most proud. It's called VEX Robotics League Play. League play involves hosting area schools for "short bursts" of robotics competition, as opposed to the usual full-day Saturday competitions. We can do this because we have the full VEX competition field set up in our lab, and because of a very supportive community.
The league is limited to VEX teams in their first or second year of competition. More meets of shorter duration is better for new teams because teams can learn what works and what doesn't work in 90 minutes of competition, then return to their home schools to make design improvements. This year, we have teams from Cape Elizabeth, Fryeburg Academy, Maranacook HS, Scarborough HS, Thornton Academy, Windham HS, Yarmouth MS, and York HS.
Attached are some annotated photos from last Thursday's event. Thank you for your support of our program. Evan
