Dilworth Greenberg Fairchild

We are very excited to announce the hiring of some new administrators in the Cape Elizabeth School Department. Please join us in giving them a warm welcome to our community.

Molly Dilworth is joining us as our Director of Teaching & Learning. She will focus on leading our efforts in curriculum development, enhancing instruction, improving assessment, and offering excellent professional development to our staff. Molly grew up in Maine, however her career has provided her with the unique opportunity to experience education from various angles, across different states and roles. She has had the privilege of serving as a teacher, instructional coach, multi-lingual program coordinator, high school assistant principal, and curriculum coordinator in vibrant cities such as Houston, Boston, and Richmond (CA), Kennebunk (RSU 21), and now she is proud to serve in Cape Elizabeth. Throughout her journey, her passion for teaching, learning, and ensuring equitable access to high-quality education for all students has been her guiding principle. This is what makes this role in this community so meaningful to her.

Joe Greenberg began his career in education here in Maine, and after more than 20 years leading schools along the East Coast and in Hawaii, he’s glad to be returning “home.” He’s deeply grateful for the opportunity to join the CEHS community as our new Principal. In his first few weeks, Joe has had the chance to meet several teachers, students, and families. He’s quickly come to appreciate the care, thoughtfulness, and shared purpose that shape the school’s culture, and he looks forward to supporting and building on that strong foundation. Joe is keenly aware that trust is built over time—through presence, honesty, and collaboration. That’s why, as he settles into his new role, his focus is simple: to listen and learn. He wants to fully understand what people feel makes CEHS thrive, and where the community sees opportunities to grow.

Ryan Fairchild has become our new Assistant Superintendent, while also continuing his job responsibilities of Director of Special Services.  With over 20 years of experience in special education leadership across Maine and New Hampshire, Ryan has focused on creating inclusive programs, supporting staff, and building strong partnerships with families and community agencies.  He is thrilled to continue serving the Cape Elizabeth community in this new capacity.  Ryan values the district’s deep commitment to excellence and inclusion and looks forward to working alongside educators and families to support student success and create opportunities for all learners.  In his expanded role, Ryan will co-supervise, guide, and support members of the administrative team; facilitate the School Board Policy Committee; oversee the development of school policies; and serve as the district’s Affirmative Action and Title IX Coordinator.
