CEMS Artists in Residence: Rachel and Ryan Adams

Hosted by CEMS Art Teacher Marguerite Lawler-Rohner & her students

Gaining inspiration from students, Ryan created the wall of symbols with water soluble yellow spray paint. He then photographed the walls face-on and separately. He uploaded the photos onto his iPad. Using an app, Ryan then superimposed the doodles over his prototype (the art design). He was then able to create the enlarged design by lining up the shapes with the doodles. Doodle grids are faster than the traditional mathematical grids, yet they both function the same as organizational tools for the artist.

Can you find the hidden CEMS? Don't worry, this gorgeous mural will be moved to the new school.
